Takashi Amano in Hannover 2012

This year famous aquascaper and founder of ADA, Mr Takashi Amano was in Hannover and our team were lucky enough to have the opportunity to meet Mr Amano and get to know him better. Mr Amano gave a talk on his travels of the Amazon and his amazing 15 ton Nature Aquarium. He also did a planted tank demonstration to show what can be achieved using ADA.  He was also a judge in The Art of the Planted Aquarium contest.  These photos, captured by some of our team, are a detailed record of his visit to Hannover.

The ADA Cube Garden: A Note from Takashi Amano

The Story of the ADA Cube Garden Aquarium

ADA Cube Garden Aquarium

The ADA Cube Garden is an iconic work of art.  Developed by famous aquascaper Takashi Amano and his company Aqua Design Amano, otherwise known as ADA, the Cube Garden is the result of Takashi Amano’s absolute commitment to developing the perfect stage to display his Nature Aquariums on.

“The ultimate aquarium which expresses the beauty of the underwater”, Takashi Amano

We are now carrying the entire range of ADA Cube Garden aquariums.  All aquariums are available for delivery or for collection in store, where you can compare the various sizes and take your aquarium home the same day, and view some of the iconic art works of UK aquascaper James Findley at the same time!

An Introduction to ADA

ADA stands for Aqua Design Amano, which is Takashi Amano’s company.

Takashi Amano pioneered the ‘Nature Aquarium’: he used CO2 injection to enhance plant growth which meant that for the first time in the history of the planted tank it was easy to achieve beautiful, lush, green, natural plant growth that mimicked nature – hence the term ‘Nature Aquarium’.
