Many varieties of plants are used in this Iwagumi layout. The main stone is placed on a high position by making a mound, and the layout has a distinctive power. But there are no unity in other stone shapes and arrangement, and the layout gives a disordered impression. Same is true in the selection of aquatic plants and fish, and the layout is going to be cohesive if smaller number of species is used.
